Saw The Thing @ Stephen Talkhouse last year as I loved their first album. They were fantastic, sadly the Hamptons scenestets wouldn't shut up.
Wish The Thing would release something on vinyl. Familiar with many of the other bands as well and you are correct, there's some great music in NY yet again. Excited to go see Pleasure Pill, SAVOIA & Sid Simons 9/23.
I saw them headline Bowery Ballroom last year with Cab Ellis and Pan Arcadia as openers. I actually went to see Pan Arcadia and learned about both Cab Ellis and Gooseberry that night. Gooseberry really impressed me.
